Riding Tips for Ubud
Go early. The Tegalalang Rice Terraces and Monkey Forest are already busy by 9am. Arrive at 7am on a scooter and you'll have the place almost to yourself.
Watch for steep, narrow lanes. Ubud's side roads drop suddenly into river gorges and can be tight. Keep your speed low in unfamiliar areas and watch for oncoming traffic on blind corners.
